Why do I need a host?

A wedding host is responsible for tying all of the parts of your day together, and making sure that on the day itself, everything flows seamlessly to create a magical unforgettable wedding day. Your Host is the person who guides you and your guests through the experience of your day. They make all the key announcements, manage the timings on the day, and ensure that everything happens just the way that you want it to.  They also solve any minor catastrophes which might come up, and they are always ready to step in and take charge if it needs a guiding hand.

Doesn’t the Venue Manager or Wedding Planner do the hosting?

Whilst a wedding planner and venue manager may be key parts of your day, they are unlikely to have the time or expertise to properly host your wedding day as well. A Venue Managers key responsibility is to manage the venue, and ensure that it is doing everything that you need it to for all the key parts of your day. Your Wedding planner will be working with your suppliers and ensuring that all of the finer points of each part of the event are in place and ready to go. Neither of these crucial suppliers will be positioned to spend time with your guests, ensuring that they know what is going on minute to minute, and be ready to make an announcement or give a big introduction in quite the same way that a professional host can.

I don’t want a host, just a magician, can you help?

I no longer sell any services for just close up magic at weddings, and now exclusively work as a professional magical wedding host. I would be happy to come along exclusively as a magician, but my regular fees

and rates would apply.

What is the booking process?

The best thing to do is book a consultation call with me HERE. Once you have chosen a date and time for your call, my CRM system will send you a Zoom Link, and we will meet and discuss your big day and what I can do.

Booking is easy. I will send you a contract and once signed, and invoice. I will also send you some additional information to help you plan your day, and I am always on hand if you need a helping hand or friendly advice.

A few weeks before the big day, we will meet again, and go over the run sheet and full day plan, and then I will get that out to all of your suppliers and use that to make sure that everything goes to plan on the big day.

What is the difference between a regular host and a magical host?

Basically its all about the magic. I started my career as a professional magician, and when I transitioned to hosting I realised that magical entertainment is the perfect companion to a professional host. There is often plenty of time in between announcements at a wedding where I can perform for the guests, and I even manage to get a performance or two in during the hosting too. Magic adds an extra dynamic of fascination to every event, and it means that I am always able to ensure that the atmosphere is on point for every moment of the day.

What is your fee?

My fees start from £1,250 for a basic half day hosting package, and may increase depending on your wants and needs and the available budget you have.
